How cashew grades work

What the number means

Whole cashew kernels are graded by size. The number in a grade such as W240 tells you roughly how many kernels fit in one pound. A smaller number means bigger kernels, so W180 is larger than W320.

Whole grades and broken grades

The W grades are whole kernels. Splits and pieces are broken kernels. They taste the same, but they cost less and suit cooking better than gifting.

Which grade should you choose

Choose larger whole grades such as W180 and W210 for gift boxes and premium packs. W240 and W320 suit everyday retail packs, hotels and snacking. W450 and splits suit sweets, bakery and cooking.
